Dears friends and colleagues,
Having visited the West Bank of the Jordan, in Palestine, on the year 2019 (in April and November) we send you a message of solidarity from France, assuring you of our everlasting concern for the human and political rights of the Palestinian people and our support to your struggle for freedom, equally and the right to an independent State.
The multiple forms of violence to which are subject the Palestinian people and families are intolerable to us and shouldn’t be tolerated by any human individual or group pretending to be civilized.
Such violence perpetrated by the Israeli government includes the eviction of families from their homes, everyday humiliation and suffering of the Palestinians at the Israeli checkpoints, uncontrollable, illegal and brutal violence of the Israeli military in Gaza and the West Bank territory, extreme brutality culminating in the Israeli bombing raids on Gaza, resulting in hundreds of innocent casualties, amongst whom children.
Yesterday, May the 15th, tens of thousands of French citizens marched through the main towns of the country to voice their support to the Palestinian cause and to the victims of Israeli brutality.
These important rallies took place in spite of the COVID epidemic and the outrageous ban to demonstrate in Paris declared by the French government.
We participate in these protests asking for international law to be respected by the Israeli government.
Furthermore we shall support all pledges in favor of the rights of the Palestinian people and the BDS movement in our country.
At this very moment our thoughts and feelings are turned towards the bereaved Palestinian families, our Palestinian friends and colleagues and the whole Palestinian people.
In solidarity and true friendship
