In response to the violence inflicted on Palestinians in Gaza during the summer of 2014, a volunteer group of Palestinian and Arabic-speaking youth led by Harvard graduate and Child Psychiatrist Othman Mohammad MD developed a series of psycho-educational YouTube videos for the public that addressed the effects of post-war trauma.
This series is presented in simple and easy-to-understand Arabic language, in addition to English subtitles.
Due to the attacks on Gaza in the summer of 2021, the Bissalameh team launched a follow up campaign on Instagram. This campaign offers interviews with mental health clinicians as well Palestinian public figures in conversations about healing and resilience.
